How it started

“In July 2023, my family and I were on a trip overseas when we had a layover in Mayfair, London. We were lucky to be able to explore the city and what I found was that every inch of Mayfair was absolutely stunning – the architecture, the vibe, the people, every detail was beautiful and thoughtful. A particular detail that I was (and still am) completely inspired by was how every doorway, homes, businesses, etc., was covered with greenery and flowers. I mean, absolutely covered with luscious, romantic, flowing flowers – each new door was a moment that took your breath away. That view and feeling was unforgettable, as was the remainder of our trip, and I came home inspired to bring that feeling into our lives here in Texas.”

A Proper Hello began with workshops and event design inspired by those beautiful floral covered doorways and has evolved into full-service event design that leaves everyone involved with an unforgettable experience.

Meet Michelle

I’ve never considered myself a very social person, so it seems ironic but also fitting that I’ve found a passion in event design. Ironic because events are social occasions but fitting because the event designer works in the background, creating something unforgettable for everyone involved.

Part of what makes A Proper Hello special is our approach – designing events not only for the experience of the host but considering the personality type of each and every guest. That’s my passion - rolling up my sleeves, finessing every little detail and designing something absolutely beautiful for extroverts, introverts and everyone in between.
